Southwest Finland European office is a European Liaison Office representing the city of Turku, the Regional Council of Southwest Finland, University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University. The office dates back to year 1998. It is run by Mrs. Krista Taipale.

The main priorities of the Southwest Finland European office are: European regional, cohesion and urban policies, European networks (TEN), research and innovation (biotechnology, ICT), Northern Dimension, the information society, enterpreneurship and co-operation within the Baltic Sea region.

The main tasks of the Brussels office are

- to promote the region and its interests towards the EU-institutions
- to gather and provide the latest EU-information
- to develop contacts with other European cities, regions and European networks
- to give full support to regional actors in their EU-related activities
- to provide information about the region
